Love them or hate them, One Direction has taken the world by storm in 2012 from their amazing Summer Olympics performance to sweeping the MTV VMA’s to becoming the first UK band to ever score a #1 in the U.S. with their debut album. And this year they have earned a spot on Barbara Walter’s annual 10 Most Fascinating People list.

While in the U.S., the boys sat down with Barbara to film the segment for Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2012 which will air as a 90 minute ABC News special on Wednesday, December 12 at 9:30/8:30c on ABC (KMGH – channel 7 locally).

One Direction are joined on the list by Argo director Ben Affleck, Family Guy creator and Oscar host Seth MacFarlane, Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, 50 Shades of Grey author EL James, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
